Whittier | Saturday, Aug 09, 2025 | Saturday, Aug 09, 2025 |
Whittier, a once-isolated town, is gateway to Prince William Sound. The city is a historical landmark, established by the U.S. Army during World War II. Less than 300 people reside in the town supporting the Alaska State Ferry, the Alaska Railroad, the Alaska Hydra Train, the military tank farm for aviation fuel, the Small Boat Harbor and tourism. See wildlife, waterfalls (watch Horse Tail Falls flow up!), and more! Hike Portage Pass Trail or head to Salmon Runs, beachcomb, bird watch and pick berries. Watersports include boating, sailing, kayaking, and scuba diving. Winter sports include snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. Begich Towers contains 198 apartments and are 14 stories high. The Buckner Building known as "the city under the roof" was central to this isolated Army outpost. Private developers built the Whittier Manor for civilian employees or military personnel ineligible for other housing. This building has been turned into condominiums. Whittier Visitor’s Center is housed in a 1957 rail car, originally built for Union Pacific as a cafeteria.

Hubbard Glacier | Sunday, Aug 10, 2025 | Sunday, Aug 10, 2025 |
Seventy-five miles long and covering over 1,350 square miles in area, the Hubbard Glacier is the largest tidewater glacier in North America. It is also one of the most impressive, a 300-foot wall of ice rising sheer and jagged from the ocean. You may hear the rumble and see the monumental splash as the glacier breaks off in great ice chunks, known as "calves."
Glacier Bay | Monday, Aug 11, 2025 | Monday, Aug 11, 2025 |
Spread across an impressive 3.2 million acres in southeast Alaska, Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve offers an inspirational glimpse of what Mother Nature does best. The head of Glacier Bay is Tarr Inlet, where scientists have found exposed rock believed to be more than 200 million years old. The Tarr Inlet is home to Grand Pacific Glacier, an active body of ice slowly making way toward Margerie Glacier, which it last touched in 1912. Johns Hopkins Inlet is home to no less than nine glaciers. Framed by rocky slopes stretching skyward more than 6,000 feet, these wondrous bodies are eclipsed only by mighty Mount Fairweather, which at more than 15,300 feet is the highest point in southeast Alaska. In northeast Glacier Bay, the snow-covered Takhinsha Mountains feed active Muir Glacier. The brilliant blue glow of a calving glacier and the thunderous roar of ice crashing into the water below are sights and sounds to remember for the rest of your life. With such diverse landscape, the park provides a variety of habitats for animals.
Skagway | Tuesday, Aug 12, 2025 | Tuesday, Aug 12, 2025 |
This "Gateway to the Klondike" watched as fortune-seekers headed to Chilkoot and White Pass Trails during Alaska's Gold Rush. Today, feel like a prospector in Skagway, as you walk along its rustic boardwalks and frontier-style storefronts. This cozy town offers a pleasant respite from the hustle and bustle of most cities. With classic cars and one of the oldest narrow-gauge railroads in the world, the city retains the flavor of days gone by and remains an important link to Alaska's history. A stroll down Broadway is a must. Highlights include Arctic Brotherhood Hall. Other buildings like the Trail of '98 Museum, Corrington's Museum of Alaskan History and the Alaskan Wildlife Adventure and Museum present different facets of prospecting times. Before hitting famous Chilkoot Trail, there are other well-marked trails to try. Hiking to Lower Dewey Lake is an easy, 20-minutes, and there are more adventurous trails to remote Sturgill's Landing, Upper Dewey Lake and Devil's Punchbowl. The White Pass Scenic Railway and Eagle Preserve Wildlife Quest provide additional options.
Juneau | Wednesday, Aug 13, 2025 | Wednesday, Aug 13, 2025 |
Juneau is one of America's most beautiful state capitals, with the looming summits of Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts providing a gorgeous backdrop. Once part of Alaska's Gold Rush, the city boasts natural and manmade attractions. Downtown is filled with many vibrant buildings, including must-see St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, which houses artwork and artifacts dating back to the 18th century. From the bright mural in Marine Park to the carvings in House of Wickersham, downtown is filled with Alaska's own unique brand of culture and architecture. Often hailed as Juneau's most impressive sight, nearby Mendenhall Glacier is approximately 12 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. See the glacier on a float trip or a "flightseeing" adventure, or hike up one of its trails for a closer inspection. For a bird's-eye view, the Mt. Roberts Tramway offers a short, six-minute trek to the top of Mt. Roberts, 1800 feet above the city. If wildlife is your passion, scenic Admiralty Island has the world's highest concentration of brown bears.
Ketchikan | Thursday, Aug 14, 2025 | Thursday, Aug 14, 2025 |
Ketchikan is known as "Alaska's First City" because it's the first major community travelers come to as they travel north. The city is built on steep hillsides and is billed as salmon capital of the world. A quaint village, the town is three miles long and three blocks wide. With fishing boats sailing in and float planes ascending from the water, this seaside town is bustling with activity. With the world's largest collection of totem poles, Totem Bight State Historical Park offers insight into various native cultures of the Pacific Northwest. These wood-carved creations tell colorful, intricate tales – often showing a family history or depicting a local legend. Ketchikan has many options for adventure of relaxation, including mountain bike tours, sea kayaking, seaplane riding, or strolling down the boardwalk of Creek Street, Ketchikan's most famous section with a historic cable car and quaint boutiques. Blessed with an abundance of hiking trails, Ketchikan offers many breathtaking vistas, including the panoramic, 360-degree view from the top of Deer Mountain.

Vancouver | Saturday, Aug 16, 2025 | Saturday, Aug 16, 2025 |
Vancouver is a thriving metropolis surrounded by natural beauty. With parks, beaches, gardens, museums, art galleries and the second-largest Chinatown in North America, Vancouver lives up to its promise of offering something for everyone. With modern buildings set against green, rolling hillsides, this city is breathtaking; no location offers a more spectacular view than Stanley Park - with a zoo, aquarium, totem poles and honking geese. A short walk from the park leads to Robson Street, which offers the town's best window-shopping. Stores with European flavor share the avenue with delicatessens and tea rooms ready to serve. As architectural heart of the city, Robson Square features a central plaza with a food fair and an old provincial courthouse, which now houses Vancouver Art Gallery. Be sure to stop at 8 Pender St. - "the narrowest building in the world." Other points of interest include the Museum of Anthropology; Japanese-style Nitobe Memorial Garden; and VanDusen Botanical Garden. Capilano Canyon is site of the world's longest and highest suspension footbridge. |

For answers to any questions about the program, please call the Princess Access office at 661-284-4521.
All Princess ships have wheelchair-accessible staterooms, but it is highly recommended that guests bring collapsible wheelchairs, as the widths of the stateroom doors vary. Guests may bring their own, or they can pre-reserve a wheelchair and have it and other medical equipment delivered to the ship by contacting Special Needs at Sea at 800-513-4515 (outside the US 954-585-0575), or by visiting Special Needs at Sea's website (http://www.specialneedsatsea.com/). Alternatively, guests may contact CareVacations at 877-478-7827 or carevacations.com. Some areas on some ships are not wheelchair accessible.
Passengers utilizing mobility devices with batteries are advised that the batteries must be a dry cell type, and must be stored and recharged in the stateroom. Mobility devices of any kind (wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, etc.), like any other items, may not be left outside the stateroom.
In order to enter a standard stateroom, your mobility device cannot exceed a width of 22 inches. Any electrical plugs, extension cords or recharging devices must be provided by the guest. Please be sure that your mobility equipment is no wider than 22 inches if booked in a standard cabin or no wider than 31 inches if booked in a accessible cabin.
Travelers with disabilities should check in with the onboard Tour Office to ensure all shore excursions can accommodate them. Not all port facilities are accessible for those using mobility devices. Ports may be accessed by a variety of methods including a ramped gangway, a series of steps or by tender. In some cases, you may be able to access the tender, but the shoreside facility will not be accessible. Many ports of call use a mechanism known as a “stair climber” to assist passengers up and down the gangway. Passengers must transfer to a Princess wheelchair, which is connected to the stair climber and operated by the ship’s personnel. Guests may be precluded from going ashore if they cannot transfer or if their personal mobility device cannot be easily disembarked. With the safety and comfort of guests in mind, the decision to permit or prohibit passengers from going ashore will be made on each occasion by the ship’s Captain, and the decision will be final. Ports that normally use tenders to access the shore are noted on the itinerary.
The maximum weight of the wheelchair including guest cannot exceed 600 lbs. on transportation lifts. If the guests has purchased a Princess Transfer at the start or end of the cruise, they must be made aware that lift-equipped transportation may not be available in their port of embarkation or disembarkation.
Tender Port Policy
The goal of Princess Cruises is to provide a safe comfortable cruise experience for all guests. If a guest will be using a mobility device during their sailing, it is strongly recommended that they travel with a person physically fit to assist with the guest's needs both onboard and ashore. Embarking and disembarking can be challenging for those with limited mobility. Many major ports of call provide easy access for wheelchairs and scooters. However, due to various conditions - steepness of the gangway, weather, shore-side facilities, tidal and sea conditions - passengers using mobility devices may be required to transfer to a stair climber or be precluded from going ashore. Princess staff will make every effort to assist but are not allowed to individually physically lift more than 50 pounds (22 kg).
Some ports of call require the ship to anchor off shore. Passengers are then taken to shore by small boats or tenders. When tendering is required, passengers using mobility devices will not be transferred into or out of the tender, if lifting in excess of the above limitation is required. Many tender ports do not provide wheelchair access so even if the passenger can board the tender they may not be able to disembark ashore. Again the shore-side facilities, movement of the tender, weather and tidal conditions can also preclude tendering.
The decision to allow any passenger to board a tender or disembark the vessel will be made by the Captain on the basis of the safety and welfare of all involved and is final. If passengers are unable to tender or disembark because of circumstances outlined above there will be no refund or credit for missed ports. While Princess recognizes guests' disappointment, the safety of both guests and crew takes precedence.
Entry regulations for service animals vary by port. Passengers are advised to consult authorities at each port prior to departure for more information. Princess does not have food onboard for animals. The choice of dog litter material is limited and varies by ship.
Electronic Assistance Devices
Princess ships are equipped with “All-in-One Kits” with TTY that can be used in most passenger cabins and at Princess wilderness lodges. Most televisions onboard provide closed captioning and most onboard theaters have assisted listening devices. Electric outlets in most staterooms are limited to one and it is helpful to travel with an extension cord for electrical equipment. Princess also offers JAWS Professional software with a KOSS-TD/80 headset on one terminal in each Internet Café on every ship.
Guest may contact the Digital Communications Manager for information regarding the charges that apply to internet and wireless services, and other specific requirements. Pricing and amenities are subject to change.
Plus – Platinum and Elite Captain’s Circle members receive Internet as part of their on board amenity.
The onboard medical facilities meet or exceed the standards established by the American College of Emergency Physicians. Facilities are staffed by full-time registered doctors and nurses. In addition to twice-daily office hours, they are available 24 hours a day in the event of an emergency.
Princess offers entertaining options for kids ages 3-17. Scheduled activities are supervised by a specially trained staff of dedicated Youth Activities Coordinators. However, Youth Center staff cannot administer medication, bottle-feed, change diapers, provide meal service, or offer individual one-on-one supervision. Children must be 3 years of age or older and fully potty trained to participate in the youth program.

Pros: Ports of St. Vincent and Guadeloupe
Cons: Ship needs refurbishment
Review: Ship is old and tired. Many maintenance issues. Our stateroom bathroom flooded due to broken pipe on day 2. Hand washing stations often inoperable. Technology is sporadic at best. Medallion app and medallion connectivity issues. Do not recommend until ship is refurbished.
Medallion process
Pros: Medallion process
Cons: No Cons
Review: Overall, I was satisfied with the boarding process on the day the cruise began. It had been quite a while since I last cruised and I was really impressed with the process. Also, the Medallion process for onboarding, cabin entry and disembarking was impressive.
Exceeded expectations once on the boat
Pros: Exceeded expectations once on the boat
Cons: Online Phone Staff through Princess Cruise was poor
Review: The online staff for Princess Cruise was poor. It was difficult to get through and they gave inconsistent information each time we called. The training and knowledge was a bad experience. But once we got on the cruise everything exceeded my expectation as we had personal attention everywhere we went on the boat. The staff members were friendly, available, accomodating. The rooms were comfortable and organized, the food was unique and exceptional and the events were so well thought out. We ended having the most incredible experience once we got on the ship.
Excellent Staff, Food was reliable good
Pros: Excellent Staff, Food was reliable good
Cons: Some issues with Medallion for dining, No traditional dining
Review: The Caribbean Princess is starting to show its age. When compared to newer ships it is lacking many features such as having only two specialty dining venues. While it would be expected that an older ship would lag behind newer ships, it definitely is ready for the upcoming refurbishment. The Medallion was a generally nice feature, but it was impossible to make changes to our dining reservations. I had to call and speak to a person, which was fine and I was able to make the changes I wanted to. It was also a bit irritating that to make reservations to the specialty dining restaurant pre-cruise, I would have to pay in advance, even though we had the Premium package which included two specialty dining nights, and then be refunded the money when on the ship. We also missed the traditional dining where you have the same table, tablemates, and staff throughout the cruise. Since we have been on several Caribbean cruises we only did an excursion while in Roatan. The excursion was listed as easy, and it was anything but. While I understand that prices have increased, the pricing of the excursions seems to have jumped up significantly. I think we will not be looking at any cruise to the Caribbean in the future. Overall, we enjoyed our cruise and getting back on a Princess ship. We are looking forward to checking out the new Sun and Star Princess ships.
Entertainment, Food, and Staff
Pros: Entertainment, Food, and Staff
Cons: Spa
Review: This cruise was EPIC with the exception of the spa experience. While the Caribbean Princess is somewhat dated, you would never know it based on the food and entertainment. However, the Thermal Spa was a disappointment (compared to Holland America's Thermal Spa). There were limited heated stone chairs, the rain showers were average. and there was no heated thermal pool. Despite the thermal spa disappointment, I have already booked my next adventure on the Caribbean Princess.
Fantastic experience. Attentive crew. Great and varied menu. Lots of entertainment choices. Superb production shows.

Pros: Attentive staff, friendly service, great food, terrific entertainment, clean ship
Cons: None
Review: It is easy to see why Princess Cruises stands above the others when it comes to providing an exceptional cruise experience. We were warmly greeted by members of the staff each and every day, in the public room, in corridors, and in passing throughout the ship. The menus in the Dining room offered a diverse selection to satisfy every pallet. The entertainment in the theater and around the ship was of exceptional quality, and the activities were plentiful for those who wish to pick and choose their areas of fun. The ship was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff was exceptional in their level of service.
Food; full promenade Deck; exceptional crew
Pros: Food; full promenade Deck; exceptional crew
Cons: less than desirable internet during waking hours
Review: I just enjoyed my 5th trip on the Caribbean Princess this year. The crew was immensely polite and accommodating to all of our wishes. They installed safety lighting when you open your cabin door and when you step out of bed a night light illuminates, excellent safety measure. Overall, in all of my trip's food options were hardly ever repeated and passenger satisfaction was second to none! My complements to all!
Great staff and itinerary.
Pros: Great staff and itinerary.

Review: Princess is always a great experience.
Staff on ship
Pros: Staff on ship
Cons: Entertainment on ship
Review: Overall, great 7 day cruise. Ship was spotless and kept that way. Strict mask policy enforced in a kind and friendly way. Food was excellent. Only type of food not up to par were the baked goods. There was always something going on. But, the caliber of entertainer was not what we were accustomed to on Princess. The 2 shows by the Princess singers and dancers was very good. The comedian, magician, smaller venue entertainers not so much. Steakhouse was fabulous. Only one waiter was very rude, Felipe in the Piazza. It really bothered him to wait on us??
Land portion was excellent in all ways. Hotels were magnificant. Ship was great. Food overall very good.
Pros: Land portion was excellent in all ways. Hotels were magnificant. Ship was great. Food overall very good.
Cons: Elevators were slow and difficult to see direction . Shows were difficult to get into several nights. This was corrected by adding performances ,but assume this is issue on all cruises ??
Review: Highly suggest doing land portion as part of cruise. Missed Newport due to high seas (tender). There were never any announcements to communicate ship was docked and you could disembark
Food, service and people
Pros: Food, service and people
Cons: No seat wall in the pool. Didnt have a scooter for me.
Review: last time on Princess was March 2007
Crew was very pleasant, food was above average and good selection. Ship was very nice. Suite was great and room steward was very attentive.
Pros: Crew was very pleasant, food was above average and good selection. Ship was very nice. Suite was great and room steward was very attentive.
Cons: Not enough time in some of the ports. Some tours seemed a little pricey.
Review: The on board entertainment was above average. More time in some ports would have been nice as the number of things to do far exceeded the time allowed. Generally well above average!
Ship was well appointed and very clean. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Very professional.
Pros: Ship was well appointed and very clean. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Very professional.
Cons: Some of the meals were not enjoyable and same for the shows. We were warned in advance, that the ship was very large, and that was troubling.
Review: The ship was really too large for us, but it was an enjoyable cruise and we had a really good time.

Pros: Nice Ship, Good (and plentiful) food, Good Service, Nice Staterooms
Cons: Theatre Shows are not geared to the average age of the passengers.
Review: Had a great time on this ship. Love their new feature, Medalian Service where a small disk you have does most of what your card did, only more efficiently. And the unlimited Internet is a great new feature. We'll now only sail on Ships that have the features.

Overall great weather and seas.
Pros: Overall great weather and seas.
Cons: Due to hurricanes, had to reroute and didn't visit four of original ports...but they were replaced by four other ports.
Review: Princess did a good job of finding four other ports in short order and also provided 20% credit due to having to change the cruise destinations.

Review: We thoroughly enjoyed this trip on a Princess Cruise ship! It was our very first cruise, and we enjoyed it so much so that we will plan another trip in the near future. We had no idea it would be so great. We would highly recommend Princess to anyone who wants to take a cruise. Loved it!!
Knowledgeable, Polite, Professional Staff, Great Food and Clean Cabins
Pros: Knowledgeable, Polite, Professional Staff, Great Food and Clean Cabins
Cons: BINGO tablets means that you are playing against some BOZO who can't operate a dauber and has a machine play 30 cards at once.
Review: I have sailed on 6 other cruise lines, and Princess was by far the most pleasurable. This is not to say that the ship was the most fun, had the most activities, the best food or the best entertainment of all the cruise lines, but combine this ship's assets with it's awesome crew who made sure all was right and you have a true winner.

Review: Overall the cruise went well and all of our party enjoyed themselves,
Activities on ship, food, selections of off ship excursions
Pros: Activities on ship, food, selections of off ship excursions
Cons: Description of some tours did not match what we did, and some were hurried
Review: Overall a great trip on the Caribbean Princess but a little disappointed that we did not see more of Panama considering it was supposed to be the best part of the cruise. Went to Ocho Rios in Jamaica vs Princess Cay due to weather and rough seas. Loved the short time in Cartagena Columbia- it’s a beautiful city. The stop at Limon Costa Rica was nice but having been there before, was disappointed in tour availability. Absolutely loved the time in the Grand Cayman Islands
Everything lived up to our expectations.
Pros: Everything lived up to our expectations.
Cons: Minor boarding and disembarkment problems
Review:
Wonderful cabin with balcony, very organized with lots of storage and great bed. Restaurants were great, crew was outstanding, excursions were well organized.
Pros: Wonderful cabin with balcony, very organized with lots of storage and great bed. Restaurants were great, crew was outstanding, excursions were well organized.
Cons: The shower was very small. That's it. And we still managed!
Review: This was our first cruise, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The ship was outstanding in every way, so many activities to choose from, or you could just relax on your own. Food was delicious, with many choices. Restaurant crew couldn't have been nicer or more efficient, and our steward was fabulous! We loved every minute of it!
Captain,crew,room steward
Pros: Captain,crew,room steward
Cons: Crowded buffet,theatre seating
Review: This cruise had at least 5 medical emergencies that required ambulance transport. We were late in and out of port often, however, the Captain kept us informed and seemed to take this in stride. The crew and staff were still determined to keep things upbeat and maintain the vacation atmosphere. The buffet area has been changed recently and added two new venues with a cover charge. Possibly to encourage the use of these the buffet was usually open one side at a time creating congestion. The food was the usual excellent standard.. We chose not to use the dining room except for a few breakfast and lunch. Likewise the theatre seemed too small as seating was often filled as early as one hour before showtime.
Great service all around
Pros: Great service all around
Cons: No Cons
Review: The trip was great. Getting on and off was made easy. The weather was perfect. The food and staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the visiting all the ports.

Friendly crew, attentive staff, interesting ports of call
Pros: Friendly crew, attentive staff, interesting ports of call
Cons: No Cons
Review: We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. We visited two ports that were new to us (Roatan, Honduras and Belize City), and also visited Cozumel, Mexico, all of which were interesting and exciting. Reef snorkeling off the beach in Roatan and on a Princess sponsored excursion in Belize were both great. The ship's crew met all our needs and ensured that we were enjoying our cruise. We had great weather, good food, and enjoyed two full days at sea, which was very relaxing. This was the Caribbean Princess's last cruise before going to dry dock for refurbishing and updating, so we would like to sail on this ship again after the remodel to note the changes.
Smooth sailing; friendly staff; good selection of foods in dining room.
Pros: Smooth sailing; friendly staff; good selection of foods in dining room.
Cons: Elevators; refrigerator in room (door shelving broken)
Review: My wife was in a wheelchair this cruise and we were assigned to eat dinner in the Palm Restaurant. Some nights we waited 25-40 minutes for an elevator to take us to the 6th floor. Since there were only 2 elevators that went to the Palms, they were either full or the elevators would not go to 6. The 2 elevators would stop at 7 and then go back up instead of going down to 6. Very frustrating!!!!
Great Music
Pros: Great Music
Cons: On board TV not as friendly at Holland America Lines
Review: We enjoyed it all!
The Concerts at Sea was very well organized and the agenda was well planned. The bands were all great. Great to meet the performers at their leisure during the cruise as they were on the full cruise.
Pros: The Concerts at Sea was very well organized and the agenda was well planned. The bands were all great. Great to meet the performers at their leisure during the cruise as they were on the full cruise.

Review: This is my second cruise on Princess. I love the ability to walk deck 7 in the mornings with other exercise fans. My stateroom with balcony is a dream suite. The staff was friendly, smiling, kind, and totally fun.
We love the combination of music provided by the Rock 'n Roll Concerts at Sea as well as the top notch entertainment of the Princess Orchestra, Singers and Dancers. The piano players -- all three were phenomenal.
Pros: We love the combination of music provided by the Rock 'n Roll Concerts at Sea as well as the top notch entertainment of the Princess Orchestra, Singers and Dancers. The piano players -- all three were phenomenal.

Excellent service, fabulous meals, exciting excursions
Pros: Excellent service, fabulous meals, exciting excursions
Cons: Ship is a little dated, though very well kept
Review: We just returned from an 8 night trip to Curacao, Aruba, and Bonaire. It was a fabulous cruise! The entertainment was spectacular. We enjoyed several live shows, along with the Concerts at Sea program of concerts, meet and greets, etc. With a balcony room, I was able to relax in peace and quiet part of each day, along with heading out to see shows, go on excursions, etc. Other than Zumba and line dancing lessons, there wasn't much going on that appealed to me outside of the afternoon Concerts at Sea and Princess performances. I don't gamble and wasn't interested in playing trivia games, knitting with others, or hanging out in the internet cafe. The Zumba and line dancing lessons were packed: Princess might consider expanding those types of opportunities for those who aren't sedentary.
Good staff, good food, good fellowship, perhaps a little more spacious
Pros: Good staff, good food, good fellowship, perhaps a little more spacious
Cons: Choppy seas missed port, murky flat-screen TV, dirty windows
Review: Many previous PRINCESS sailings made me really appreciate this one more than I had expected, which I think CRC Travel clients will appreciate. The Caribbean Princess is, admittedly, an older ship, but well cared for, with many lovely restored details, such as carpets and some completely refitted shops & feature-food venues. She's looking well & it was such a pleasure to wander around & see the familiar features spiffed up. Each year I wonder whether I'll be delegated an excellent & traditional steward---was rewarded with a jewel this time, on Emerald Deck Port-side Forward ---the memorable Erwin. Also had, I kid you not, the best Steiner massage in 25 years--tiny expert masseuse, Jazz, really putting her whole arm into it---but most remarkably, it was a seamlessly professional experience in several little detailed ways I hadn't thought about until experiencing this one. I really "came back new." The production shows as well are looking well, particularly "Piano Man" and "Broadway Ballroom." The choreography seems smoother and more integrated and less jerky upon the body; the orchestrations and choral "charts" seem more familiar-sounding and less funky---and the new digital technology possible with the sets is kind of thrilling to behold. Loved watching everybody dance and sing--though they do need, especially in a sold-out sailing, to clear the oversold aisles of standers and step-sitters as a fire hazard. Also had one of the best excursion guides I can ever remember---Wayne in Antigua. It may be that as I get older, it's harder for me to understand English as a 2nd language & I struggled several times onboard ship to understand the announcements, most alarmingly from our MUSTER STATION C captain in the room before the Captain's tape played---but driver/guide Wayne in Antigua, on the other hand, while true to his own language, made himself gracefully understood. The excursion in St. Kitts, including the Fairview Great House was enjoyable as well. PRINCESS ships are an abiding pleasure for me, both as they bring on new ships with enhanced features & also as they maintain the older ships with excellence. This holiday on the Caribbean Princess was delightfully pleasurable and restorative. I can't wait to sail again!
Good food and good service
Pros: Good food and good service
Cons: Ship starting to look worn
Review: Although interior of the ship was clean and kept up, several areas of the exterior needed painting and our balcony paint splatters on the deck covering and the chairs were worn out.
Overall great
Pros: Overall great
Cons: One of our favorite excursions was cancelled
Review: Our dining experience was the best ever our waitress was wonderful And made our evening such a pleasure Her name is Antonia from the Ukraine.
Great entertainment, enjoyed line dancing classes, plenty to keep busy
Pros: Great entertainment, enjoyed line dancing classes, plenty to keep busy
Cons: Room size for 3 adults not acceptable, shower much too small
Review: The shower was the smallest I have ever seen on a cruise ship, also the bedding for 3 in a room is unacceptable, 3 adults and 1 had to use a drop down bunk, would never have booked 3 in a room if we had known this, room much too small for 3 adults. Have cruised with 3 on other cruise ships, plenty of room and each had own bed without a bunk. Some nights the menu in the dining room left something to be desired. Crew was very friendly and helpful, overall a great cruise.
Good weather for most of trip. Excellent waiters for dinner - Darwin and Brian
Pros: Good weather for most of trip. Excellent waiters for dinner - Darwin and Brian
Cons: Great Beef Medallions and Prawns, rest of dinners just average. Crown Grill dinner was exceptional.
Review: Stop at Corner Brook has little to offer unless you have booked ahead for a tour. No cabs were available to travel to Nat. Park or Cook Monument. People were lovely and friendly but not much to do right off of the ship.
Great Waiters. The waiters made the meal very enjoyable.
Pros: Great Waiters. The waiters made the meal very enjoyable.
Cons: If you dined early, all was ok. If you dined late it was a disaster! It took to long in between each course.
Review: The dining room was a disaster the first two nights.
You come back refreshed and relaxed after a cruise with Princess! Your wish is their command.Even the slightest issue is taken seriously and acted on immediately. I have gone on eight cruises with Princess and loved every single one!
Pros: You come back refreshed and relaxed after a cruise with Princess! Your wish is their command.Even the slightest issue is taken seriously and acted on immediately. I have gone on eight cruises with Princess and loved every single one!
Cons: Caribbean library books ALL GONE four hours after we boarded. There really needs to be a better system. We were stunned on the morning of the last day of our cruise to see all the books returned
Review: I can't say enough about the Princess Staff. We continue to cruise with Princess because of the care and concern the staff has for their passengers On every cruise our Room Steward has been Excellent! Refreshens the room without a request. Dennis{R307} greeted us each day with a smile and inquired about our tours and other plans. I looked forward to seeing him every day. The Dining Staff takes great care to help you with selections each night...you can have have a dish modified to meet your diet requirements. Each night when I arrived for Late Seating and warm cup of coffee was waiting. They are very observant about what you request and try to have it appear without a request. PALM DINING ROOM ...LATE SEATING...TABLE 100
Ship was clean
Pros: Ship was clean
Cons: Food was average
Review: Transportation offered by princess at ports was expensive. Not a lot of alternative modes of transport. Excursions were quite expensive and overrated.
Great Food, Good entertainment, Friendly staff
Pros: Great Food, Good entertainment, Friendly staff

Review: This was my first time with Princess. I travelled in the past with NCL, MSC, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. Despite the fact that the British Isles landscapes are not as magnificant as South America, Caribbean, etc. the overall experience was very good. All my previous cruises were of 8 days and I was worried about the length of this trip (13 days), but after 8 aays I was happy that the trip continues.
the cruise people could not be nicer,
Pros: the cruise people could not be nicer,
Cons: due to a union strike in the port of LaHave France the normandy portion was cancelled
Review: The food was just okay. Have had better food on previous Princess cruises, . The crew on this ship did a very good job and were very accommodating. boarding and disembarking went very smoothly. The shows were okay, not great. The entertainers were all European and some were hard to understand.
Service, food, suite, entertainment
Pros: Service, food, suite, entertainment
Cons: No Cons
Review: The only comment I will make as cruise was wonderful is one excursion that me and my roommate took. It was the one that included chicken meal cooked underground and the Mayan temple. This was a disappointment. Meal was good but temple and bus excursion was not worth the money as tour guide just told us about Mayan clock. Would not take it again. Do wonder, having worked with senior citizens, if some of the tours were acceptable for handicapped.
We especially enjoyed the warm weather, sun and greenery. The ship was clean and cabin and dining services were tops. Food was delicious with attractive presentations. Entertainment was enjoyable. An outstanding performance in the theater was the "Brave" light opera show featuring a very talented soprano along with backup singers. The comedian was hilarious too. The cruise director (former dance performer) was extremely talented and even led two interdenominational services, including sermons.

The cruise director (former dance performer) was extremely talented and even led two interdenominational services, including sermons.
Cons: This was the largest ship we have cruised. The size of the entertainmnet venues were too small to accommodate the ship's population. You had to be in the theater 45 minutes before show time to have a seat. One night there were several people left standing in the aisles for the production. The atrium area had very limited seating so that you had to be lucky to find railing space on upper floors in order to view piazza entertainment.
Review: Ultimately we enjoyed the relazation afforded by this cruise. We had three ports of call. We booked this cruise for Key West. Unfortunately (tragically) this port of call was cancelled 30 minutes prior to our arrival due to high winds. A day at sea was substituted. Many, many people were extremely disappointed. Also we found out on embarkation day from a back to back cruiser that Princess Cays was cancelled and substituted with Nassau (we felt very unsafe here and made our way back to the ship as soon as possible). due to the ship running on one less generator and not being able to make the distance to Cays. The captain awarded each person with compensation for all of the above changes.
Routine, Did not meet expectations. Missing Key West ruined a portion of it.
Pros: Routine, Did not meet expectations. Missing Key West ruined a portion of it.
Cons: DIt did not go to Key West. Bad weather so aborted to Freeport and to Nassau.
Review: After going to Nassau, omitted Princess Cays and returned to Houston. Safety takes precedence so, cannot complain .Got $50 credit and a 25% reduction of price of any cruise up to March 2017., We will discuss that!!. The entertainment was excellent - very-very good. Best overall I've seen on cruises. Bert Stratton was on board - what a riot. Look him up on GOOGLE. He has signed up now to May 30th out of Houston. .
good value
Pros: good value
Cons: terrible casino ...especially when on water so much
Review: Great staff and service, 3 great shows, tired ship..needs a lot of updating, shops pricey with the same old stuff, pools cold and hot tubs at 96'
Enjoyed everything the ship had to offer
Pros: Enjoyed everything the ship had to offer
Cons: would rather do round trip from San Francisco
Review: Would like more shorter trips from San Francisco
All ports were great places to visit.
Pros: All ports were great places to visit.
Cons: Evening entertainment was not well coordinated with traditional dining times.
Review: The ship is showing some age and is going into dry dock to be refurbished soon. There has been a definite shift to scheduling evening entertainment for anytime diners. It was difficult to get to dinner on time or see a show after dinner for those with traditional dinner late seating. There also was generally no dance music in the various lounges. The advertising and push to sell things on board is disconcerting. We were cruising the Saguenay Fjord one afternoon and went to the Princess Theater to see a movie. Rather than showing the Fjord with the bridge commentary prior to the movie, there was a half hour of advertisements about future cruises.
food was good, ship was okay, stateroom small
Pros: food was good, ship was okay, stateroom small
Cons: service at times left something to be desired
Review: Later would have been better for color but would have been too cold! Your port info was extremely help--thanks
Lots of activities
Pros: Lots of activities
Cons: Shore Excurisons
Review: We purchased a shore excursion from the ship for a Segway ride. It was so bad that some of the people were given a refund. The cost was $90.00 pp. I should have complained, but did not until today when I sent them an e-mail telling them how unhappy I was with the excursion. Also, I did not receive an e-mail for the survey they said they would send out. My kids received one, but I did not.
Food, eating options, ports of call, organized, coffee shop, drink stickers a good deal
Pros: Food, eating options, ports of call, organized, coffee shop, drink stickers a good deal
Cons: Rooms and bathrooms need updating, formal nights are a waste of time
Review: It was a great trip. The rooms needed updating, the couch was stained, the balcony had rust on it, the railing a glass were dirty.
Weather, Service, Food, Entertainment
Pros: Weather, Service, Food, Entertainment
Cons: Internet in Stateroom
Review: Our 3rd & 4th segments on this ship which has a capacity of 3200. This is about as much as we can tolerate. The Royal & Regal have over 1,000 more and you can definitely feel it. Great Eastern & Western Itins both weeks and varied entertainment for both segments. 1200 guests did this B2B. Both Crown Grill and Sabitinis improved menus!

Review: This was a very nice cruise. I would do it again. The food was pretty good. The entertainmen was quite good, considering it was on a cruise ship.
Crew and staff were very efficient and friendly. Food and entertainment was good.

Cons: Ship is getting a bit old- could use a few updates.
Review: We enjoyed our trip. It was a very pleasant experience.
Beautifully kept and sparkly inside even after 10 years in service
Pros: Beautifully kept and sparkly inside even after 10 years in service
Cons: The large viewing windows were in need of cleaning on the OUTSIDE - lots of salt streaks very very visible all around the ship. But this could be easily fixed.
Review: I would recommend this ship overall because it is still beautiful and the staff/crew were great.
ship and staff very good
Pros: ship and staff very good
Cons: to many children on board
Review: Boat was over packed lines for everything to many kids although. it was Christmas week.
ship decor
Pros: ship decor
Cons: some staff impatient
Review: overall a good value. Don't expect much from the ports if you are not on an excursion. Food quite good. One review show bad and one quite good. Activities quite fun.
excellect/friendly crew - Food in all venues good. - very restfull
Pros: excellect/friendly crew - Food in all venues good. - very restfull
Cons: Too many smoking areas, especially the Casino - No lectures on islands/cultures etc.- Big focus on selling T-Shirts/Jewelery Etc.
Review: Due to the timing the cost was great. Didn't like coming back into Ft . Lauderdale but elected to do the back to back. The second leg went only to Princess Cays for one day. Could have been two days at Princess Cays if sailed at normal speed. Overall the staff, services, food, was very good Wish they would get a system on the ship where they could speed up the signing of tickets for drinks etc. Spend a lot of time having waiters fill out chits for every little bottle of water or coke.
Very good all around from the day I sailed to the day I returned.
Pros: Very good all around from the day I sailed to the day I returned.

wonderful atmospher, room stewart and servers
Pros: wonderful atmospher, room stewart and servers
Cons: Could not hear the person speaking over the intercom and the people who answered the phone was not very helpful with our questions. I had to ask our room stewart Angelo.
Review: I would recommend finding another way to announce things over the intercom system. With all the people speaking around the cruise it was really hard to hear what was being said. I missed out on a chance to go abroad at the Bahamas because we didn't know people were getting off the cruise line, since we were told our excursion was cancelled. When we found out people were going aboard it was to late for us to leave. I want to say thanks to our room Stewart Angelo. He truly interacted and spoke with us each time we saw him. He was very helpful in answering our questions and we truly enjoyed him.
Food good, service good
Pros: Food good, service good
Cons: Entertainment not good
Review: Feel the entertainment should be geared to the age group on board that was from 50-80 years of age. Have been on ship where the entertainment was much more enjoyable.
Great activities and teen groups. The shore excursions were A-1
Pros: Great activities and teen groups. The shore excursions were A-1
Cons: On all my other Princess cruises, there are usually 2 or 3 different shows each day.
Review: The entire staff is professional and warm. Every passenger is treated cordially and with respect. The only problem I encountered has been the same for about the last ten cruises; When are they going to serve custard donuts in the dining room at breakfast timef. WHY DO THE ONLY SERVE THEM ON THE 5th and 15TH FLOOR AND NOT IN THE DINING ROOM????????
Staff extremely nice
Pros: Staff extremely nice
Cons: Ship needs sprucing up.
Review: Side trips were lacking in what they were supposed to be. Not worth the money they charged.
A pampered experience, as a cruise should be.
Pros: A pampered experience, as a cruise should be.
Cons: Would like to have had the cruisr director do more for single-mingle opportunities.
Review: Three guys, all lost our wives within two years, booked this cruise to just unwind. We each had our own balcony cabin and spent most of our time, and all of our meals together. Dinning room staff was superb; as were the room stewards. Food was good, but not excellent. Buffet was better than average. I think the dress code was too relaxed. I prefer a higher level of decorum on a cruise. Mixed drinks were too mild (if not actually watered down). We enjoyed wonderful times with a great bunch of passengers. Overall experience was positive - a truly restorative cruise.

Review: Great food...service is good. Slow when dealing with all inclusive drinks. Hint , keep 1's in pocket to tip, they go a long way. On private beach the bar wasn't open for two hours. Poor management.
Food, Service, Ease with embarking and debarking, Rooms ready as soon as we got on the ship, Excellent excursions
Pros: Food, Service, Ease with embarking and debarking, Rooms ready as soon as we got on the ship, Excellent excursions

Review: We enjoyed this cruise better than any other cruise we have been on. We visited Cozumel, Princess Cays, Ocho Rios, and the Cayman Islands. Our ports were convenient to shopping and the tours offered through Princess were fabulous. It was a relaxed vacation with good service and good times. If you have a chance, take the El Cedral tour in Cozumel with Gabriel. He was a knowledgeable and fun tour guide. We have been to Cozumel many times and he made this the best time ever. Also, Ocho Rios is beautiful as is all of the ports, but this is one we would like to revisit. Lori is our tour expert and she as usual did a good job for us. We were on the 10th floor balcony which is bigger than the other balconies and they were nice. The food was very good. We do not eat in the dining room but really enjoyed the buffet.

Review: Great time with great food!
Everyone was friendly, polite, helpful. The ship was clean and in good repair. The food was great!
Pros: Everyone was friendly, polite, helpful. The ship was clean and in good repair. The food was great!
Cons: From what I heard, this ship has some issue with getting in/out of the Houston port timely -- but I think that has more to do with the port/harbor than the ship -- we were delayed about 3 hours getting started.
