Ayers Rock | Sunday, Feb 25, 2024 | Sunday, Feb 25, 2024 |
It is the world's largest monolith rising almost 1,000 feet above the desert floor with a circumference of almost 26,250 feet. It is considered one of the great wonders of the world and is located in Kata Tjuta National Park which is owned and run by local Aboriginals. Depending on the time of day and the atmospheric conditions the rock can dramatically change color, anything from blue to glowing red ! Many avid photographers set up for days and record the many changing colors of Uluru. Some believe that there is a light source emanating at various times of the year.

Sprawling along the sweeping bay, Tauranga is a popular summer resort. Visit the mission house and walk around the 1860s campsite of the military, situated on a cliff overlooking the harbor. Other attractions include the Waitomo Caves, a vast underground network of water-sculpted, cathedral-like limestone grottoes, big-game fishing and scuba diving, and spectacular flightseeing excursions over White Island, New Zealand's most active volcano. The area of the Bay of Plenty is blessed with a good climate and fine beaches. Other sights include Monmouth Redoubt, The Strand, and Mount Maunganui.

Picton | Friday, Mar 08, 2024 | Friday, Mar 08, 2024 |
Picton, located at the head of Queen Charlotte Sound, is the starting point into South Island. The surrounding area is renowned for its spectacular seascapes. Picton makes an ideal base for an exploration of the Marlborough Sounds. Today, large areas of the Sound are protected as the Marlborough Sounds Maritime Park. Cruising these waterways is the best way to get a close look at the many secluded bays and bush-clad headlands that make up the park. Excursions inland travel to the heart of a major wine growing region. Marlborough's wines have an international reputation for excellence and the vineyards around Blenheim offer some exclusive vintages that may be difficult to obtain elsewhere. Other sights include Picton Whaling Museum and the Edwin Fox Center.
Lyttleton (Christchurch) | Saturday, Mar 09, 2024 | Saturday, Mar 09, 2024 |

Dunedin | Sunday, Mar 10, 2024 | Sunday, Mar 10, 2024 |
One of New Zealand’s loveliest harbors is gracious, dignified Dunedin. The city boasts fine Victorian and Edwardian buildings complete with spires, gables and gargoyles. Its Scottish heritage is present in street names and the appeal of its handsome stone buildings. One of Dunedin’s most famous visitors, Mark Twain, wrote "The…Scots…stopped here on their way to heaven, thinking they had arrived." Dunedin boasts the country’s only kilt maker and whisky distillery as well as a statue of Scottish poet Robert Burns in the heart of the city. Dunedin’s surroundings are renowned for their magnificent scenery and wildlife. The nearby beautiful Otago Peninsula provides a breeding habitat for such rare birds as the royal albatross and yellow-eyed penguin. The biggest attraction is probably the albatross colony at Taiaroa Head – which can only be visited as part of pre-arranged guided tour. Nowhere else on the globe do these birds breed so close to humans. Other sights to visit include Octagon Park, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Edwardian Railway Station, and Otago Museum.
Fjordland National Park | Monday, Mar 11, 2024 | Monday, Mar 11, 2024 |
Created in 1952, Fjordland is the largest national park in New Zealand, and one of the largest in the world - stretching 143 miles from northeast to southwest, and at its broadest 50 miles across, covering an area of 3,000,000 acres. Fjordland National Park is also the largest area of wilderness in New Zealand. There are only three roads in the park (one with public access), and only a few tracks, although three of the country's Great Walks (the Milford, Routeburn and Kepler tracks) are located within its boundaries. Fjordland remained wild because it is mountainous and extremely rugged. Fiordland is submitted to very high rainfall weather pattern characteristic of the west coast of South Island. Temperatures are mild, at least at low altitude. Forests cover all of Fjordland National Park from valley bottom up to the treeline. Most of these forests are beech. Wildlife includes forest birds, sea birds, marine mammals, among others.

Submit Your Own Review!Beautiful ship, staff was excellent, loved itinerary and and land portion
Pros: Beautiful ship, staff was excellent, loved itinerary and and land portion
Cons: Entertainment in the evening could be improved and the food was adequent
Review: Entertainment director was very good, Enjoyed him very much and the naturalist was excellent.
Entertainment staff, Dining staff, and ports
Pros: Entertainment staff, Dining staff, and ports
Cons: Too short!
Review: We had a fabulous trip. This was my husbands first cruise and he was hesitant! We had a fabulous time. Medallion service was easy, we had a balcony mini suite (highly recommend). Entertainment crew were all funny & awesome! Never met an unfriendly staff member. We went to Alaska cruisetour. Ports were amazing. Weather was what it is in Alaska some rainy days, very cold on glacier days even in August! The game shows were our favorite entertainment. food was excellent. We loved our staff at Concerto Dining room. Our room steward on Aloha deck very kind. Luggage was handled perfectly every step! Great cruise, staff & wonderful experience!
Many events to take part in
Pros: Many events to take part in
Cons: very crowded
Review: The dining was good but not as good as I would have expected for this type of cruise. A coffee pot in the rooms would be great. When we ordered coffee from room service it arrived warm, not hot. Tried several different days, same result. Princess was very good at helping everyone get to their next event or leg or their journey. Very organized. Loved that!
Lots of activities, comfortable cabins, balconies offer amazing views
Pros: Lots of activities, comfortable cabins, balconies offer amazing views
Cons: Food is bland and cold on buffets, women tend to be seated in less desirable areas of restaurants if not travelling with a male, cabin stewards hard to find, no adults only pool as advertised, not many indoor areas to take in the sights
Review: The Majestic was a çomfortable, ship. The food offered was subpar what I expected. It was impossible to find food beyond 9:00 @ night. I was disappointed that there was no adults only pool as advertised. There are lots of activities to do on the ship, although the talent was moderate at best. The cabins were comfortable and the balconies provided an amazing view of the beautiful landscape.
I didn't know what to expect on our first cruise but I think that going with Princess on our first has set the bar REALLY high from other cruise lines we might try in the future. Literally, everything we experienced on the Majestic was top notch. The staff loved what they did and you could tell that in conversations that we had with many of the staff from the dining areas to pool area to bartenders and our stateroom staff. Our very diverse crew went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience.e

Cons: I'll let you know if I can find one - oh wait - the cruise was over way too quickly.
Review: I would warn first time cruisers not to overbook on shore excursions. I scheduled only one excursion per day and I can honestly say that I never felt rushed. Don't try to do everything - pick and choose - even with onboard activities. Take time to take in the views and wildlife. I would give the cruise six stars if that was possible. We will most definitely be back.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. All was very organized. Travel from lodges was easy although by end of week we were tired of packing and unpacking. But that was just part of the trip. We loved traveling on the train up to Denali, we were in that 10% that saw the whole mountain. All the lodges were lovely ,I found everyone truely seemed to be happy to be there and asked how they could help.

Review: We did 3 formal dining, I do have to mention all three times food was only lukewarm, but taste and presentation was lovely, and our staff was very attentive. Buffet was nice and there was a good variety.
I don’t have to drive, great meals with every kind of food is available 24/7; great accommodations, delivered to a new adventure every day, entertainment, knowledgeable staff etc….
Pros: I don’t have to drive, great meals with every kind of food is available 24/7; great accommodations, delivered to a new adventure every day, entertainment, knowledgeable staff etc….
Cons: Cannot spend more time at a destination than the alotted time or travel very far from the ship
Review: A cruise is a great way to see the Alaska coast. It make everything so easy and relaxing…
Glad we started in Fairbanks, spent time in Denali first and then were able to unpack and spend a week on the ship. Well-planned and the weather was even terrific.
Pros: Glad we started in Fairbanks, spent time in Denali first and then were able to unpack and spend a week on the ship. Well-planned and the weather was even terrific.
Cons: At 2 ports our ship had to anchor in the harbour for part of our stay…although we did appreciate seeing the shuttles used it did limit some of the freedom for us to go to and from the ship while in port.
Review: The staff and other travelers were pleasant and friendly and we did enjoy this trip that we had been looking forward to for a long time!
Beautiful Ship. Excellent cleaning done by staff. We would prefer to have been a deck or two lower (we were on Deck 15, mid ship) as our deck was under the extended overhang from the deck above which limited our site lines to view mountain tops from the balcony. It was a beautiful view but very limited.

Cons: Food choices were very limited, Buffet on board was the same everyday. The 2 main dining rooms served identical menus daily. A few different choices but somewhat bland. We were surprised that the 3 best dining rooms were Special and required additional payment of $29 per person. Regarding the entertainment, we would prefer to have more shows than so much music for entertainment. We did learn that by traveling on the largest ship limited access to ports and also required the schedule to correspond with low tide to get to Vancouver cutting short time in Icy Straights.
Review: Whittier, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Icy Straights, Ketchican Pros: Beautiful Ship. Newer ship, only 60% full, excellent service
Pros: Newer ship, only 60% full, excellent service
Cons: Room lighting, outlet/usb ports-both number and location, small twin beds
Review: I had a marvelous cruise overall but the lighting for doing makeup or hair is ridiculous.
Superior service and ease of transfer with our excursions and land tour
Pros: Superior service and ease of transfer with our excursions and land tour
Cons: none
Review: We did the Alaska cruise and the land tour. Both were excellent; we have no complaints at all.
Everyone on the ship was helpful, cheerful, and did a great job.
Pros: Everyone on the ship was helpful, cheerful, and did a great job.
Cons: I can't think of a significant issue to address.
Review: Our group of 4 was assigned to the Club Class Concerto Dinning Room for 7 days. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were great throughout the entire cruise. Mark and Erickson were our servers for 7 days and went above and beyond to make every meal memorable. I can't thank them enough for their help. The dining room manager had a special curry meal prepared for me on the last night which was wonderful. I just can't thank the Concerto and staff enough for a wonderful first cruise.

Review: The Medallion was a great idea....... it did not work as planned. Lots of issues finding shipmates. It worked, it didn't work. Making dinner reservations were very easy when the app worked. When it didn't, it complicated everything. We were planning on using the app to locate and communicate with our shipmates. We visited the help desk many times to make sure we were not the problem. We were not the problem, it was the internet/medallion issue. We should have brought a packet of post it notes. We wasted a lot of time trying to get the medallion app working for all of us. After the 4th day we gave up and went to old fashioned communication. We just told everyone where to meet and what time. If you couldn't make it we just moved on without you, and hoped to catch up with you later.
Separate dining room, beverage package, champagne, wine in room. Nice mini suite which was comfortable. Good service from cabin steward and staff
Pros: Separate dining room, beverage package, champagne, wine in room. Nice mini suite which was comfortable. Good service from cabin steward and staff
Cons: Embarkation, disembarkation, Medallion app, dining reservations, Faibanks Lodge room was terrible.
Review: With Club Class we expected more from Princess. There was no priority embarkation as we waited over an hour in line to check in, there was no priority disembarkation either or priority dining reservations. The room at the Fairbanks Lodge was terrible. Two double beds instead of a queen event though we booked more than a year in advance. The room as terribly hot even with the window open and "cooler" on. We were told at check out that the a/c was being worked on and was not operating in all rooms. The Medallion app was very clunky at first, did not recognize my wife being in the room and watching the safety video, making dining reservations was difficult. Ordering drinks and opening/locking the cabin door worked well. Cabin steward, dining staff and bartender services was very good. The food in the Club Class dining room had several misses and had to be sent back. For the most part the food was good. I only do not recommend this tour if it starts in Fairbanks. Other land tours may be better.
The Majestic is a beautiful ship, the crew was wonderful and Deck 17 was an added bonus.
Pros: The Majestic is a beautiful ship, the crew was wonderful and Deck 17 was an added bonus.
Cons: The desserts; they look gorgeous, many contain too much of a substance similar to gelatin.
Review: I've cruised on many Princess ships. The Majestic is inviting and welcoming from the moment I stepped aboard. The crew can recall what you drank and liked to eat. The Cruise Director was fun as were his crew of hardworking young men and women. They kept us entertained with trivia and interactive games. In all is was a wonderful week.
Immaculate ship, super friendly crew, great meals in Concerto dining room
Pros: Immaculate ship, super friendly crew, great meals in Concerto dining room
Cons: Crowded buffet, limited poker slots in casino
Review: Wonderful crew: esp Christina in the Concerto dining room. Nice to read Princess offering assistance to their Ukrainian crew members in this difficult time Amazingly smooth sailing throughout Expert Captain
Beautiful ship, great shows, friendly staff, good specialty restaurant food
Pros: Beautiful ship, great shows, friendly staff, good specialty restaurant food
Cons: Pizza not very good, internet service terrible, medallion app was not working very well
Review: We really enjoy cruising, it’s not back to what it was but it is getting there. If all the glitches can be worked out on the medallion app I think it will be very helpful. As it was we could only sporadically order food and drink, sometimes the drinks got delivered to the wrong people and it took over two hours to get a chef’s salad. The activity timeline did not work at all so I was glad to have the printed Princess Patter. We enjoyed joking with Natalie the cruise director and the staff for the most part were really great. One bad experience with Mehai the matre de at The Crown Grill restaurant because of a mixup using the app to make a reservation was unfortunate, his attitude was very uncalled for but that was the one exception.
Wonderful vacation
Pros: Wonderful vacation
Cons: We had to get off the ship and come home.
Review: This was my first cruise and my wife's second one. It was so enjoyable that we already booked our next cruise.

Review: Just got back from a 10-day trip to Mexico on the Majestic Princess and had a very pleasant voyage. The only aggravation we had was in getting ready for the trip. We had to have documentation of being vaccinated but, in addition, we had to get a piece of paper showing that we had passed a Covid-19 swab test 48 hours before sailing. Very annoying. Once we showed these documents at the port, boarding was quick. We were given their new electronic Medallion to wear instead of having a plastic card to hang around your neck. It acted the same as the old cards except it automatically unlocked your cabin door as you approached it, It also activated large screens, located around the ship, to be able to find your travel mates and show you how to get to where they are. The ship was relatively new, built in 2017. It was originally designed for the Far East trade, so it had an Oriental motif with all signs being bi-lingual, in English and Chinese. It was quite large…too big to my taste…and it was like being in a huge hotel instead of a ship. There was very little boat motion, more like being dry-docked. One nice thing was that it was built to accommodate 3560 passengers and we only had about 1800. It was 50% empty. I first noticed this by all the empty staterooms and having no problems in getting a place to sit or no waiting in line for anything. You were encouraged to wear a mask when around other people (No problem, but it makes it difficult for me to read lips). The buffet food was pretty average and I didn’t gain any weight at all. The deserts all look tempting, but don’t have much taste. We didn’t eat in the sit-down dining rooms because I don’t want a multi-course meal and don’t want to dress for dinner. Plus, even with my hearing aids, I have a hard time hearing the dinner table conversation if there is any ambient noise around. In returning, one new touch in going through US Customs, is that we didn’t have to show our passports at all. They had you look into a camera; it did a facial recognition thing and they just waived you through. No questions asked. I would recommend you traveling now. No crowds, everyone checked out for health, and the cruise lines are happy to be back in business.
Boarding, Disembarking, Friendly Service
Pros: Boarding, Disembarking, Friendly Service
Cons: Mediocre food
Review: We looked forward to this cruise as our first after 3 cancellations after Covid . Nothing too exciting about the ports we visited since we live in California and have been to them numerous times. We wanted to get back to sea and meet new friends and renew old friendships. Precautions aboard were a distraction but nothing to keep us from enjoying the getaway. But the quality of the food has taken a big hit. The "buffets" had few choices and were lukewarm . We couldn't even get a decent burger and the fries were like left overs both times we tried them. Perhaps Princess is having a hard time finding good kitchen staff. The dining rooms were much better but even there we found some meals just weren't up to par.
ship was in great shape. service was friendly and fast. of course the food was terrific. we loved the main dining as well as the market place buffert
Pros: ship was in great shape. service was friendly and fast. of course the food was terrific. we loved the main dining as well as the market place buffert
Cons: deck 12 at the back was not the best location. lots of long walks. some vibration from engines below us.
Review: we enjoyed the trip and the stops at San Francisco, San Diego and Ensenada. the weather was good and the seas were mostly smooth. The cruise went by quickly, i guess because we were having fun. It could have been a couple days longer. looking forward to the next cruise.
Comfortable stateroom, very attentive staff. Good food in the buffet, very good food in The Crown Grill
Pros: Comfortable stateroom, very attentive staff. Good food in the buffet, very good food in The Crown Grill
Cons: Can't think of any
Review: I think the fact that the ship was operating at half capacity made for shorter wait lines and more efficient service. Let's see what happens as more passengers book the cruise.
Nice Ship, good specialty dining, nice penthouse suite, great service.
Pros: Nice Ship, good specialty dining, nice penthouse suite, great service.
Cons: Sooty patio, long line at future cruise desk (1 person for everyone), lots of people
Review: Nice new ship, lots of soot collecting on the deck (we had a penthouse suite in the back of the ship), shows filled up early, only 1 person working the future cruise desk with a long line all day long. Some ports were so so (Darwin, Ho Chi Minh City, Koahsiung-Taiwan). But overall a good cruise.
Visiting Australia and New Zealand

The World Market Place is way better than the old Horizion Court
Pros: The World Market Place is way better than the old Horizion Court
Cons: Too few electrical outlets in the suite. Our cabin attendant had to bring in a long extension cord so my husband's oxygen concentrator could be plugged in on his side of the bed. Both USB ports are on the same side of the bed - dumb. Each nightstand needs its own USB plug in.
Review: Generally the ship was very nice. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and obviously well planned. The in room entertainment system was way better than we have seen on other ships. Generally the food was good, not great, but good. On our first night out the red snapper I asked for was inedible. I complained and the staff seemed to listen to me. The rest of my meals were good. For Platinum or higher passengers, they should be able to make dinner reservations starting at 7 PM and not 7:30 PM. The Sydney port location was beautiful. We wish the ship had called on Wellington - because of the great museum there. The dress code needs to be enforced. They turned men away for wearing shorts, but t-shirts and blue jeans were OK for dinner, even on formal nights. That's unfortunate. If you are going to have a dress code, enforce it and advise passengers that you plan to enforce it before they embark. Those of us who bothered to bring nice clothes on the trip had to sit looking at people that were dressed like slobs.
Friendly atmosphere
Pros: Friendly atmosphere
Cons: meat(steaks) could have been a better quality
Review: Great cruise
The balconies and the mini suites were very nice. The staff could not have been more courteous.
